Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CNCT app and website (the "Platform"), operated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

Platform Description

CNCT is a marketplace connecting clients seeking photo and video content with independent content creators who provide filming, photography and editing services on a booking basis, including on-demand ("Flash") bookings. CNCT does not itself produce content — it facilitates the connection, booking, communication and payment between clients and creators.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on CNCT, whether as a client or as a creator.

Creator Content Ownership

Creators confirm, when uploading content, that they own the rights to it or otherwise have full legal authority to upload, license and deliver it.
Creators are solely responsible for any copyright, likeness, or other intellectual property claims arising from content they upload or deliver, and agree to indemnify CNCT against any resulting claims, damages or legal costs.
Creators are responsible for obtaining any filming permits required by local authorities (including Dubai Tourism and, where drones are used, UAE General Civil Aviation Authority permits) for any shoot booked through the Platform.

Fees and Commission

CNCT charges a service commission on each completed booking processed through the Platform. Applicable VAT, where relevant under UAE law, may apply to fees charged by CNCT. Current fee rates are disclosed to creators during onboarding and within the app.

Bookings, Delivery and Revisions

Bookings are confirmed once accepted by a creator. Creators are expected to deliver content within the agreed timeframe. Clients are entitled to a limited number of revision rounds per booking, as set out within the app at the time of booking. Once a client confirms final delivery, the booking is considered complete.

Prohibited Conduct

Off-platform dealing is strictly prohibited. Sharing personal contact details to arrange payment or bookings outside of CNCT, or otherwise circumventing the Platform, is a serious breach of these Terms.

Any user found engaging in off-platform transactions may face immediate and permanent suspension, forfeiture of pending earnings, and potential legal action.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the timing of cancellation relative to the scheduled booking date, as set out within the app at the time of booking. CNCT reserves the right to mediate disputes between clients and creators acting reasonably and in good faith.

Liability

CNCT acts solely as a marketplace facilitator. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CNCT disclaims liability for the quality, accuracy, legality or outcome of content produced by creators, and for any dispute between clients and creators, save where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable UAE law.

Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data.

Termination

CNCT may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to the safety or integrity of the Platform.

Amendments

CNCT may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes arising from these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, UAE.
