CNCT ("we", "us", "our") operates a location-based marketplace connecting clients with content creators for on-demand photo and video production. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your information when you use the CNCT app and website (the "Platform").

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account details — name, email, phone number, date of birth, nationality
• Creator profile details — bio, skills, equipment, portfolio content, pricing, location
• Identity verification documents (for creators) — passport / Emirates ID and a selfie photograph
• Booking details — dates, locations, requirements, messages exchanged with creators or clients
• Payment-related information processed through our third-party payment providers

We also automatically collect device information, approximate location, app usage data and diagnostic logs to keep the Platform secure and reliable.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and facilitate bookings between clients and creators
• To verify creator identity and maintain platform trust and safety
• To process payments and calculate applicable service fees
• To send booking confirmations, delivery notifications and support messages
• To improve the Platform, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help operate our Platform, including Supabase (database and file storage) and Expo (push notifications)
• Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by applicable law
• Other users only as necessary to facilitate a booking — for example, your name and booking details are visible to the creator you book, or the client who books you

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@cnct.ae. Identity verification documents submitted by creators are retained for the minimum period required under applicable UAE regulations.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with the competent UAE data protection authority

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including row-level security on our database, encrypted storage for sensitive documents, and server-side processing of sensitive operations. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

CNCT is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Creator accounts require the user to be at least 18 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app or via email where appropriate.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes arising from this Policy shall be resolved in accordance with UAE law.
